First pictures of the new year

We decided that Jan. 1st would be a good time to go out as a family, to get some photos and some geocaching. We made our way up to Jones Falls, on the otherside of Seeley's Bay for our first stop. On the way to finding the cache there was a large dam and saw a waterfall / rapids. The weather beautiful and pretty cold, but the kids seemed to have a lot of fun, and it was nice to get out.

Next we decided to take a drive, and head to another cache at Brass Point Bridge, and on our way I saw an ice wall at the side of the road. We made our way to Burnt Hills road, and stopped at the area where the cache was. Unfortunately, we couldn't find the cache, and this isn't the first time we looked for this one. A little frustrated we decided to make our way, and try our luck with a cache at the locks on Washburn Rd.

While I wandered taking pictures, my wife and kids went searching for the elusive cache that we couldn't find earlier in the year. This is a very beautiful area, and no matter how many time we visit this area, we never get tired of it. Not wanting to be left out of the fun, my son brought along his trusty camera, and decided to take some photos along with me.

All in all it was a great day.
